Le studio hollywoodien Lions Gate Entertainement à qui l’on doit des films comme Expendables,Hunger Games,Saw,Twilight (via Summit Entertainment) etc… ainsi que des séries comme Mad Men et Orange Is The New Black pour ne citer qu’elles a investit dans Telltale Games connu pour des adaptations vidéoludiques comme The Walking Dead,Games Of Thrones ou encore The Wolf Among Us.

Selon VentureBeat,Lions Gate Entertainment a investit 40 millions d’euros dans Telltale Games afin de mettre un pied dans l’industrie vidéoludique mais aussi pour apporter une nouvelle dimension au jeu épisodique,la spécialité de Telltale Games.Kevin Bruner (PDG de Telltale Games) explique que ça permettra de créer des supershows qui seront l’association d’un jeu et d’un épisode tourné en live,cela permettra de faire un pont entre jeux vidéos et séries grâce au cross-média.Toutefois Jon Feltheimer (PDG de Lions Gate) assure que regarder l’épisode ne sera pas une obligation pour jouer au jeu.
Avec un tel investissement Jon Feltheimer fait son entrée dans le conseil d’administration de Telltale Games qui a récemment changé de direction puisque Kevin Bruner a remplacé Dan Connors à la tête du studio vidéoludique.Depuis sa prise de fonction Kevin Bruner avait annoncé son envie d’accélérer le pas dans l’acquisition de nouvelles licences et de mettre en chantier la création de nouvelles IP propriétaires.
